  This was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had... and it's all thanks to Tom Brady. My boyfriend and I put friendly bets on major sporting events; the loser always pays for dinner and a movie. So this year when the super bowl rolled around, I quickly became an Atlanta fan and placed my bet on the Falcons (because no self-respecting Giants fan could possibly support Tom Brady and the Pats, haha). I felt pretty good about my bet, until the 4th quarter... and we all know how that one ended. So I did my due dilligence as a gracious loser and opened up Hudson Valley Magazine's "best of" edition from October and found Il Barilotto Enoteca. The Hudson Valley's written description of the restaurant caught my attention, but still didn't do the restaurant justice. The restaurant itself is set inside of an old carriage house and the atmosphere they created is intimate and warm with beautiful soft lighting and music. Our waitress was incredible... knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. We met the owner of the restaurant who took us through the wine list and helped us make our bottle selection. Our meals were prepared perfectly. My boyfriend, who is a trained chef, said it was the best gnocchi he has ever had. The prices are beyond reasonable for the quality and portions you receive and the service was fantastic. It was hard to feel like the loser of a bet walking out of that restaurant, haha. So... umm.. thanks, Tom Brady.
